  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut tops off bell peppers and remove seeds. Place them upright in a baking dish.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and ground meat, cooking until browned.
  4. Stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Fill each pepper with the mixture and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; uncover for the last 5 minutes to brown the cheese.
