  • 900 grams frozen crinkle cut French fries
  • 900 grams lean ground beef
  • 298 grams cream of mushroom soup
  • 298 grams cheddar cheese soup
  • 340 grams mild cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • 75 grams sweet yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3.5 grams kosher salt
  • 2 grams cracked black pepper
  • 30 milliliters half and half

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C and line a baking sheet with foil, applying nonstick spray.
  2. Arrange frozen fries on the baking sheet and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and onion until fully browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess liquid.
  4. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, cheddar cheese soup, and half and half into the beef mixture, cooking for another 2 minutes until combined.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer the beef mixture followed by half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Top with baked fries and sprinkle with remaining cheese before returning to the oven to bake for an additional 18-20 minutes until bubbly.
