  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for crumble)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for crumble)
  • 1 large egg yolk (for glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by mixing flour, warm milk, egg, butter, yeast, sugars, and salt until smooth. Let it rise for about an hour.
  2. Make the apple filling by sautéing diced apples with sugar and cinnamon until soft. Thicken with cornstarch dissolved in water.
  3. Combine cream cheese with sugars to make the cheesecake filling.
  4. Shape the risen dough into balls and create wells in each for filling.
  5. Fill wells with cheesecake and apple mixtures, then top with crumble made from butter, sugar, and flour.
  6. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
